I have been in dentistry since 2013. I began my career as a dental assistant and have over 10 years of dental assisting experience. My current role is Office Manager and Business Assistant where I enjoy helping, educating, and interacting with patients. I have been with Cornerstone for one year in our Camanche location and love our community!
Cornerstone treats their staff and patients with the core values of Family First, the Golden Rule, and Willing to Wash the Dishes. The one that has meant the most to me is Family First. There’s only one word that comes to mind when it comes to this core value and that word is grateful. I am grateful that I have the flexibility and support to put my family first!
I currently live in Savanna, IL with my husband, Sean, and our three children, Garrett, Autumn, and Lucas. We also have two cats named Bandit and Smokey. In my free time I enjoy going to my children’s sporting events and spending time with my family.
My hope for our patients is that they can see how passionate we are about what we do and that we take our time to build a relationship of trust with them. We want our patients to feel confident and comfortable that they are receiving the best dental care.
I have six years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant, and have spent the last two years at Cornerstone working as a Business Assistant and at times an RDA as well. My experience as an RDA has given me insight to all aspects of the office so I am able to help our patients from start to finish and understand the process from all perspectives.
The core value that means the most to me is ‘Family First’. I have never been in a work environment where I was able to pour myself into my children as much as I have in the past two years. I have missed many doctor’s appointments, school events, sporting events, etc. in the past due to the long hours and expectations of most employers. Since working for Cornerstone I have not missed a single thing for my children. Not only has it improved my quality of life but it has strengthened my relationships all around. I am incredibly grateful to work for people who value you as a person and not just an employee. I see this value being poured out onto our patients as well in the way we handle treatment and care for the families that come into our offices.
My family includes my other half, Kyle, our two children, Payton and Paxton, and our dog, Pixie. I earned my dental assisting certification in 2018 after attending Dental Assisting Technology in Moline, IL. I started working as a dental assistant in 2019 but eventually I wanted a better work life balance which led me to Cornerstone Family Dentistry in 2022.
I hope our patients can truly feel comfortable and at ease when coming into our dental office. There are a lot of people who are fearful of the dentist but my hope is that we can help break that barrier and are able to provide proper treatment to all.
My interest in dentistry began in childhood. I always looked forward to visiting the dentist, and sometimes even reminded my Mom it was time to schedule our next appointments. Joining the Cornerstone team in March 2019, with no prior clinical background, I quickly discovered I have a strong interest and enthusiasm for all things Dentistry. Each day at Cornerstone brings a new opportunity to learn something new and make a positive difference in someone’s life.
My husband, Steve, and I have been married since 2018 and share two sons named Isaac, born in 2017, and Levi, born in 2023. We also have a Yellow Labrador Retriever named Tank.
All of Cornerstone’s Core Value aligns with my ethics and beliefs, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Family First. I’ve never been part of a team that shows such genuine support for both myself and my family. This type of unmatched commitm
I graduated with an AAS in Dental Hygiene from Parkland College in 1995 and worked in the dental field since that time. I have been a full-time hygienist with Cornerstone Family Dentistry since February 2022 and love working in the Camanche community!
The Golden Rule is the most important core value here at Cornerstone- treating others as you would like to be treated. It is truly amazing to work with an entire team that all value one another and treat each other with respect and compassion. Someone who feels appreciated will always do their best and we all appreciate one another. Our patients get the benefit of this!
I have been married to my husband, Tad, for 28 years and have two children: Taylor (forever 22, 1999-2022), and Kyle. We have two Australian Shepherds, Faith and Bailey, and our daughter’s horse, Ace. When I am not at work I like to exercise and spend time outdoors with my family. We love fishing, camping, kayaking, and riding side by sides.
My hope for our patients is to obtain a trusting relationship while making them feel comfortable, and to educate them with knowledge and strategies to maintain their dental health between cleanings.
In my four years as a Registered Dental Assistant, I have spent two years of that time with Cornerstone. I work in our Camanche office and enjoy the patients and my co-workers very much! I sometimes work in our other offices as needed and have gained a lot of experience during my time with the office. We do a lot of different procedures like implants and frenectomies (tongue-tie releases) so I’ve been able to grow a lot over the last two years.
The value at Cornerstone that means the most to me is The Golden Rule because we all respect one another in the workplace and treat others the way we would want to be treated. This results in a very pleasant work environment for us all, and the best care possible for our patients! We truly are all like family here- whether you are an employee or a patient!
In my personal life I am a dog mom to my two Australian shepherds, Baylor and Maybelle. I am also a small business owner. When I’m not at the office or sitting at the sewing machine, I enjoy ice cream dates with friends and family!
My hope for our patients is that each individual is treated with the utmost care and kindness. We understand that the dentist is not a desirable place for most and it is our job to be certain that we provide a comfortable environment for everyone.
I received my dental assisting degree from DMACC in 2000 and have worked for 24 years in the dental field, with the last 10 years at Cornerstone. I recently went back to school to obtain an Expanded Functions Level II certification from the University of Minnesota and completed that in the fall of 2023. This certification allows me to perform more in-depth procedures within our office and has taught me so many things about how to better care for our patients.
A Core Value at Cornerstone that has greatly impacted my life is Family first. Our office hours give me the flexibility to spend more time with my family. This also allows me to attend school functions and sporting events. I can do my best for my family and our patients and don’t have to choose one over the other!
I live in Clinton, IA with my husband, Elijah, and our son, Kannon. We also have three grown daughters: Syrene, Jade, and Ravae. When I’m not at work I enjoy reading (listening to audiobooks), working out, traveling, and spending time with my family and dogs.
I always hope that our patients feel we provide nonjudgmental care, and that we’re making top-quality dentistry affordable.
Natalie has been working with families since 2001 and has been an IBCLC (Lactation Consultant) since 2011. She first partnered with Dr. Mindy in 2013 and joined Cornerstone, seeing patients in the office beginning in 2016. During her time at Cornerstone, she has helped thousands of families in conjunction with our doctors by working through feeding issues as well as supporting them during frenectomy procedures.
Natalie lives out the Golden Rule in both her personal and professional life. At all times, treating the families she sees with the respect and consideration she would expect for herself and her own family. Natalie shared that her alignment with the values at Cornerstone is centered on being, “part of a team that values how we treat each other.”
When asked about family life, Natalie will tell you she’s been married for more years than she’s willing to disclose! She enjoys reading, studying, and spending time with her four children and their “people”. They are a “cat family” and currently have three cats and some horses at grandma’s house. Natalie’s compassion overflows for all others- her pets, her friends, and her family, and we see it in action daily with her patients at Cornerstone!
As a provider, Natalie’s hope for her patients is that they leave the office feeling supported, comfortable, and equipped with a solid plan for their family.
It’s hard to believe I have worked in dentistry for 15 years! I’ve worked in the dental field since June 2009 and joined Cornerstone in 2015. I’ve worn many hats, gaining experience as a Dental Assistant and a Business Assistant but I’m currently the Chief Accounts Manager. In my position I handle the technicalities of patient billing, and the deeper insurance claim responsibilities that must be facilitated day-to-day in order to have a successful dental practice. I oversee all accounts receivable for the offices and our Business Assistants send any tricky patient accounts or requests my way!
We have 3 values at Cornerstone: The Golden Rule, Family First, and Willing to Wash the Dishes. Without a doubt, The Golden Rule means the most to me because if you follow the Golden Rule in all areas of your life, family can be put first when needed and the willingness to wash dishes comes naturally. Nothing but good comes from the golden rule!
I’m from a smaller town in Southeast Iowa originally but I moved to Davenport with my family in 2009. I have been with my Husband, James, since 2003 and we have 2 amazing children together. My husband and I love to take short day trips together to try new food and enjoy new destinations. I always look for scenery that reminds me of something that Bob Ross would paint!!! I’m a Dachshund enthusiast but our whole family shares a general love for animals. We have just enough fur babies at home to make our hearts happy!
My hope for our patients is that we make coming to the dentist easy and we earn their trust while building long-standing relationships. I love watching our patient families grow up and knowing that we’ve positively impacted their lives.
I have 7 years in the dental field (all at Cornerstone) with a previous history in healthcare administration. In a nutshell, I oversee the operations for all of our practices from patient satisfaction, to human resources, to project management. Most dental offices have traditional office managers but with the demands of organizing the operations of 3 offices, we operate differently. We have incredible Business Assistants and teams at each location to serve our unique communities. My role is to help build the best teams and processes in our offices and partner with our owners to provide the best and most sustainable care we can for our patients!
My life has been completely changed by working in an environment where The Golden Rule is at the heart of what we do. I try to consider how my attitude and decisions impact those around me. I’ve found that when the focus of life can be treating others with kindness, respect, and even (a lot) of grace and humor, the rest just falls into place. I get to show up every day as the truest version of myself, surrounded by a group of genuinely amazing people!
I was born out of state but moved to IL, where I currently live with my husband of many years and my two boys. Some people have hobbies they enjoy – I enjoy just about anything – as long as I’m with my family! I love making my house a home, by the way it feels when you walk in, to the food I make for loved ones. I live my life with faith at the center and I strive to walk that faith out in my personal life and my time at the office.
I love to brighten someone’s day! Oftentimes I do this with humor (I am silly by nature). This includes our patients at times, but it ultimately starts with our team members. I truly believe that in order for our patients to have a positive experience, our team members must first feel genuinely positive about what they are doing. All of us at some time or another have background noise in our lives – it might be grief, finances, relational stress, the list goes on. As a leader in the practice, my top priority is to relate well to the team and our patients with the hope that their lives may somehow be improved by our interactions!
I grew up in Erie, IL and attended Erie High School. I was involved in a variety of academic groups, sports and cheerleading. My love of sport and physical activity translated to my chosen area of study in college. In addition, immediately following high school I became a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and eventually a Strength and Conditioning Specialist for a variety of recreational, collegiate and Olympic athlete populations. Fitness and training continues to be a big part of my own life, and I still do some consulting work in the fitness/wellness field today!
I attended Illinois State University for my B.S. and M.S. degrees, earning my Masters in Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology. Following my Master’s degree I did a post-graduate fellowship in a biomechanics lab in Vail, CO and worked for an orthopedic surgeon in Breckenridge, CO. After moving back to the midwest, I attended the University of Iowa, earning a PhD in Health and Human Physiology (2010) with a research focus on physical activity and bone health. I have spent the last 25 years in education and research, with the majority of my career spent as a professor of exercise science.
I learned about Cornerstone from a friend who felt my background and skills would be a good fit for a new administrative role Cornerstone had developed. After learning about the values, positive business model and the caring nature of the owners and team, I knew I wanted to be part of the Cornerstone team, joining in 2025. Because of my educational background and passion for helping others achieve positive health and wellness outcomes, taking on a role in a clinical health field has been a natural transition. While I have a great deal to learn about dentistry specifically, it has been an interesting and fun challenge!
I live in Illinois with my husband, Brandon, and son, Colton (2016). We enjoy family movie nights, the outdoors, sports/hiking and an occasional Whitey’s ice cream run. We also love sharing a meal or sitting around a bonfire with friends and family.
My favorite Cornerstone Core Value is the Golden Rule because it is aligned with my Christian faith and Jesus’ second greatest command – to love your neighbor as yourself!
My name is Yogi. I was born in 2022 and adopted by my wonderful family, the Hochgesangs. My mom saw my potential at a young age and immediately enrolled me in the prestigious training program from Speak Dog where I earned a canine good citizen certificate. I applied for a job in the family business and was hired following graduation as the Director of Patient Services-animal.
When I’m not working with my mom I enjoy long walks, running, and anything that smells questionable. Through the years I have been a support to patients and co-workers with my sweet and calming demeanor. I love to rest my head in the laps of nervous patients and comfort anyone having a hard day. I also love when children (and other animal lovers) just want to say hello! The only real challenge I have on the job is the UPS guy, but I’m working with my supervisor to improve my communication in that area so I can be the best version of myself for you!
At Cornerstone we are focused on Core Values. My favorite is, ” Willing to Wash the Dishes”. I have a solid track record of doing everything I possibly can to clean up dishes left unattended- whether they are where I’m supposed to be or not!
If you love dogs as much as I love humans, request to see me in any of our three office locations! I would love to meet you!
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two adult children, and our dogs, Dutch and Dice. We love traveling across the country in our camper, exploring new places and visiting national parks.
My favorite Cornerstone core value is Family First. I appreciate the way the practice encourages a healthy balance between caring for patients and cherishing time with loved ones.
My favorite core value is Family First. I can attest first-hand to their Family First core value. We’ve dealth with family medical issues along with long hospital stays and unanswered issues. Cornerstone has been super supportive and understanding when I need to be away to help advocate.
My favorite Cornerstone core value is Family First. I like this core value best because it reflects how I was raised and how I have always felt. I think some companies prefer to be the top priority, but that wouldn’t be realistic in my world.
I was born and raised in Davenport, IA, and come from a family of four. While I don’t have kids of my own yet, my two energetic Boston Terriers keep life very entertaining and busy! Growing up I played basketball and softball and I still enjoy staying active through running, weightlifting, hiking, and playing pickleball.
My interest in dentistry began when I got braces as a kid—I loved seeing the transformation in my smile and the confidence it gave me. That experience stuck with me and inspired me to help others feel the same way. As a hygienist, my goal is to make every patient feel comfortable, heard, and cared for. I strive to create a positive experience where patients not only feel confident in their smile, but also supported in their overall oral health journey.
After earning my Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2025, I joined the Cornerstone team because of their welcoming atmosphere and shared commitment to patient care. My favorite Cornerstone core value is Willing to “Wash the Dishes” because it represents true teamwork – one where no task is beneath anyone and everyone is ready to step in, help out, and support each other no matter what. It creates a very motivating, uplifting, and inspiring team that I am proud to be part of.
Family First is my favorite core value. Being able to put your family first is amazing and knowing that I’m able to put them as a priority and be able to partake in school functions or important life opportunities means so much to me!
Family first is my favorite Cornerstone core value. I feel like it allows me to come to work and perform at my best.
I grew up in the Davenport/Bettendorf area. I’ve always loved the sense of community here. It’s been so nice to come full circle and be back in the place that feels most like home.
